Meet Katie Angevine, NP

Nurse Practitioner in Adult and Geriatric Medicine

Katie Angevine is the newest member of the Vital Living Team, coming to our practice with years of experience in inpatient and outpatient medical care. She is a double board-certified nurse practitioner in Adult and Geriatric Medicine, as well as certified health coach and plant-based nutrition specialist.

In the hospital and emergency room setting, she has seen time and time again the broken cyclical system of disease progression in our healthcare system. She feels that our lack of time for education and collaboration with patients leaves them confused, isolated, and often sick. This has led her to focus on prevention-focused, holistic and supportive care for her patients.

She strives for empowered, shared decision-making care for her patients. Her goal is for her patients to feel confident and actively involved in their medical care, as well as validated and understood by their medical care team. In particular, she is passionate about empowering women to obtain evidence-based hormonal treatment as they age. The fear mongering and lack of education in the current healthcare system for aging women and men is staggering and often lacking in sound clinical evidence. She believes a better system in achievable and wants to support her patients in their journey to health throughout their lifespan.

Katie is a graduate of College of the Holy Cross, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a geriatric studies concentration. She holds a master’s degree in adult and geriatric nursing, with honors, from Yale University School of Nursing. She has completed the plant-based nutrition certificate program from Cornell University as well as the Health Coach Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is a former multi-sport athlete, mom of four children and farmer’s market enthusiast. She is passionate about finding ways to enjoy real food and movement within the busy constraints of our everyday lives.
